You adore your posh white sofa but are still wondering how to remove these coffee stains that spoil effect? No further worries – whatever the original colour and fibre, Cleandy is professionally prepared to restore it back as if new.

Our professional upholstery cleaning has been designed to suite all your pressing needs. We consult you on the needed cleaning method your furniture requires, after which we implement it to perfection. Our service always begins with a fabric inspection. Most upholstery pieces are labeled or characterized with a cleaning code we can tell from experience. The right choice of cleaning method is imperative for the proper fabric treatment and cleaning results. It is also key to avoid shrinking, decolorization and other unwanted effects during cleaning.

Basic Upholstery Cleaning Types

W – code W indicates “water-based cleaners” and generally means that your tapestry may be safely steam cleaned.

S – stands for “solvents”, which entails a dry-cleaning method using water-free products and dry solvents, which may require some additional ventilation of the space.

W/S – allows the application of both water-based and dry-cleaning products and is usually performed by dry foam.

X – code means that your upholstery may be vacuumed or light brushed only.

To illustrate, fabric with a “W code” usually is synthetic fabric such as acrylic, polyester, nylon or olefin, which are generally easy to clean. Natural fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, velvet or linen only sometimes may be steam cleaned. Typically, leather upholstery requires vacuuming only provided that it does not need preconditioning to keep its elasticity.

Whatever your specific needs, this is a highly specialized process. Therefore, it is highly recommendable that you contact a professional.
